The Parish Council has received notification of a Planning Application for the Culm Valley Filling Station (known to many as Kevin Stack’s).
The Application is for the demolition of the existing dwelling and garage buildings and the erection of 1 building unit for Class B2 use ( Industrial)(1034sqm) and 5 units for Class E use (Commercial, business and services, including 2 hot food takeaways (Sui generis)(409sqm)

To comment, support or object to the Application, and in order for your views to be considered by the Planning Officer you need to submit it to Mid Devon District Council by no later than the 3 November.
You can write in to Mid Devon quoting the Planning Reference or go online and respond through the Mid Devon website.
Points raised so far for consideration by the Parish Council include considering extending the speed limit past the area, imposing conditions over working hours, safety of takeaways so close to the roundabout and drainage.
The Parish Council will be agreeing a response to the Application over the coming weeks and would like to hear what the residents think about it in order to take this into consideration in the response.
